Despite having opportunities to play post secondary university south of the border, Linden decided on the Calgary Dinos and immediately burst on the scene, winning CIS rookie of the year. After a few more very dominate seasons and a couple CIS all Canadian awards Linden was picked 1st overall in the 2013 CFL draft to the Hamilton Ti-Cats. Before the 2013 season he signed a contract with the Carolina Panthers and spent the whole season on the NFL teams Injured reserve. Coming back to the CFL late in the 2014 season he immediately made an impact and is a force to be reckoned with. Linden just recently got traded to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Being a highly touted recruit from Bishop McNally high school, he decided to stay close to home and play for the university of calgary dinos. After one redshirt year he became a four year starter, earning three all canadian Awards. After being a first pick in 2012 to the B.C lions he opted to go back to school to finish his economics degree and earn an invite to the NCAA East-West all star Shrine game. After signing with the lions in 2013 he immediately became a starter on the offensive line. Unfortunately his rookie season was cut short to injury, but two years later he has re-established himself as a starting offensive lineman in the CFL.
After finishing his high school career at rundle college, he was fortunate enough to have a walk-on tryout for the university of calgary dinos. Hard work in the weight room and putting on sufficient size in his first two years helped him gain a starting spot in his third year. after having a standout year in his fourth year he drew enough attention to get an invite to the cfl combine where he again showcased his physical attributes; Enough so that he was drafted by the montreal alouettes in spring of 2013. right from the start he was a contributor on defense and has greatly improved over his Four years as a pro.
